I think our QBs will do fine this year. No they aren't goin to set records or win games on pure talent. But with our running game seeming to be coming back around a heavy dose of PA passes this year should fit just right. Just look at what bammer did w what is a not highly skilled mcelroy. A solid ground game will take a heavy load off of our QBs

Yeah against the horrible defense they were playing against Sat. it might appear that way, I guess...

What's troubling is that neither QB can separate themselves from the other.

To be fair, that was the best defense he saw outside of practice. And UT's defense looked a lot better than Bama's on that day.

IF - and it's a big one - we have an O-line that can pass/block and run/block, all this hand-wringing goes away. LSU has won two championships with B-grade quarterbacks.

One would hope so, but it's only wishful thinking at this point.

JC, your a moron if you cant figure out that Bama shut down its offense the minute they went up two scores...Saban isnt stupid he knew he was going up against a fresh QB in a NT game...are you friggin kidding me???...

As with last season, we live and die by our O-line and situational blocking. This is especially true if Crowton can't find a way to separate himself from his beloved option. If the O-line and blocking is good, we'll have a good running game, if we have a good running game, I think JJ can be a decent QB off play action (he's got above-average footwork and a slightly above-average arm).

Or, as Tony Montana would say, "In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women."

The got up on UT early and only needed to work the clock to keep UT off the field. They didn't attempt many passes b/c they didn't need to.

Also, I think McElroy had broken ribs or something that game, so they were even more conservative in the passing game.

the only prob I have with some other posters on this board is for some reason they believe this position shouldnt be open for another player to win.
How in the world some these guys can be so sold on a player thats been avg at very best is beyond me.

FYI>>> doc I am very proud of you.. to my recollection youhavent brought race up one time since spring game.
Miracle.
