Who was the last LSU QB you had real confidence in?

Thinking about our teams this decade or even further back if you need to, who was the last LSU QB you had real confidence in? I know Jamarcus could throw the hell out of the ball but I remember a lot of people talking about him not being as good between the ears. He was the number 1 overall pick in the draft but unfortunately has not lived up to the hype. I would have to say for me it's probably Rohan Davey. I couldn't wait to see him play. Flynn was good but maybe not a huge play maker like Davey was. One of Davey's great performances was here in Atlanta at the Peach Bowl when he got in the game in the second half and lead us to a come from behind victory over Georgia Tech. That was a sweet win and an impressive performance by Rohan!! Of course I was a student when Hodson played and still think of him as one of the best at LSU.

You know, I didn't even consider him. He would have had a hell of a year I think had he not f*d up and been kicked off the team. I do think I would've had a lot of confidence in him come game time. Off the field, not so much, but he had a great field presence.

I had total confidence in Jamarcus Russell. I guess I had confidence in Matt Flynn, but "real" confidence is kind of subjective. I had confidence that he would be OK, but not the kind of "real" confidence that made me think the game was ours if we had the ball at the end only needing one score. That was how I felt when we had Jamarcus Russell.

Russell, 2006. We annihilated a number of teams, and he was money in the Ole Miss and Tennessee games. We'd have gone 13-1 or 14-0 if he'd stayed in 2007.

Russsell. Never felt LSU was out of a game with Russell.

Flynn and RP in '07 both inspired confidence IMO. Not sure how anyone could answer otherwise. LSU won the BCSNC and set most of the major offensive records for the school.

Yeah, when he was in the game, he was playing excellent. 1 start against a rent-a-win and he destroyed them on the ground and in through the air.
Then, another start in the SECCG and he beats tennessee with a injured hand/finger. I thought he was gonna be the shite!

Crowton's first year which meant any team would do good offense wise.

If you are saying Jamarcus wasn't an accurate passer, that's beyond stupid, go look at the numbers.
