Nuts4LSU:
Thanks for pointing out a few of my less well thought out points. I was trying to get to lunch and threw that together without going back to re-read it. Every time I think of Arnsparger, I think of that Miami(Ohio) game because (1) I was there in the rain watching that fiasco and (2) all we heard about all week before that game was how Arnsparger had cut his coaching teeth at Miami. I thought it was very odd that we lost to them, but now that I think about it, perhaps that wasn't so inexplicable either. Anyway, a better word would have been disappointing losses-like Miss. St., Baylor and Miami, each one costing us dearly in each year of his tenure. And yes, the defense was loaded when Dinardo got there. Hallman did recruit pretty well (remember the Fab 5, wasn't that 1991 or 1992). I was probably focusing more on the offensive side of the ball, and also on the fact that Dinardo had taken over a program that had forgotten how to win and turned it around quickly. I was at that 1995 Auburn game where Twillie picked off the Auburn pass into the end zone with a few seconds left to seal the win. Man, was it hot that night.
