is anyone actually expecting huge changes on the offensive side of the ball? I just have a feeling like were going to be in for another long year.

Personally I think JJ will lose the starting gig, but you still have extremely athletic WRs, a great tight end, a (hopefully) better pass blocking line (Ciron Black wasn't very good at that ), and a nice crop of young running backs. There is a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball, its just the schemes of how to use it that remain to be questioned

Huge changes? No. I think our style will be very similar.

Significant improvements...particularly in the running game and pass protection? I have hope.

I am, but that's only because I have been paying attention to the numerous coaching hires, the change in intensity in the practices, and the fact that we're finally returning a starting QB from the year before.

I guess the frustrating thing is to see all of the offensive talent were getting every year with Shepard, Calhoun, Ware, etc. and not have a feeling like they'll be utilized this year. But what if JJ underachieves this year, what do y'all think we should do?

Redshirt him next year, and start J Lee as a senior, then start JJ the year after that.

What about Chris Garrett? No chance for him?

I expect us to be better than 112th in total offense...hell an offense in the mid 60's would have led us to a SEC Championship berth last year.

lost by 10 to UF, lost by 9 to Bama....

not sure if you knew I was joking. I would rather see Barrett Bailey than J Lee again. I broke numerous things in my house watching the La Tech game this year.

yeah I didn't actually know if you were joking because there are Lee sympathizers lurking, but IMO some QB's have what it takes mentally to play college football, and I don't think he will ever have it.

Yes I do think the offense will be improved for 3 reasons -- Wilson, Gonzo, Ensminger. You underestimate the importance of the position coaches ---- HUGE improvement in all three areas.

Why? because Shepard wasnt used as much as we would've liked last year? One player does not make a trend.
