I think my PS3 is dead...

I was playing The Show and it suddenly just turned off and now I'm getting a flashing red light. Am I fricked?
OK, I get it, whatever. XBox is supreme. I don't give a frick. Anyone else have this happen?

unplug the power cord from the wall and from the ps3 and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds then hook it back up

Quick fix option: Buy new PS3 at Wal-mart. Return broken one. Use $250 Wal-mart giftcard for groceries over the next month or two.

The gaming board is almost unbearable with the overplayed XBOX vs. PS3 crap.

frick it, it was the original 60 gig model and the processor was too slow with some games. I'll just eat the $160 for the faster processor.

No shite. I'm a major Xbox fanboy, but they all fail and always will from here on out. We've come a long way from 1 MHz and 128 bytes of RAM. These are basically mini gaming computers, and judging by problems you always have with high-end hardware, expect it from this generation on forward.

Obviously you have no clue how the technology works... It is faster, but not tonthd naked eye. No human can tell the difference in the SLIGHT speed advantage it has, and Sony doesn't advertise it as it isn't worth mentioning.
Also, "the original 60 gig model" will play ANY ps3 game with the original processor in such a manner as any changes in performance, one way or thr other, would be unrecognizable
