with there first pick, the 11th overall pick in the NFL draft, the New Orleans Saints pick Russell Erxcleben, kick Texas University.

I have so many of these gems roaming around in my head. God it feels so good just to be able to think about those disasterous moves and be able to smile and laugh.

What part of this is supposed to make me laugh. When I heard the pick I almost jumped out of my chair. John Meacom was a horrible owner.

ETA The only good thing Erxcleben did was kick a 60yd punt in the Jets game stopping us from going 0-16. (The famous 1-15 season)

if memory serves me correct, we were playing the Jets on Mondaynight football. It was the forth qtr. and we were punting. We had the lead and just needed to stop them one time. Well he punted and the returner broke free with only Erxcelben in his way. The returner didn't even cut left or right Erxcelben just fell to the ground then faked an injury.

I was just explaining the circumstances by which we met Weaver. My wife, my son, and I watched the game from a suite. He passed by the door, saw it was open, and came in and asked how we were doing.

You never really knew what he was going to do when they snapped the ball to him to punt. He could have taken off running in the wrong direction and I would have only said that was proof that I was right he was crazy!!
