re: WTF? Erin Andrews will be on Dancing with the Stars

Ochocinco is a much bigger star than Andrews. Kate Gosselin and some of the other reality show stars were the main focus of television programs watched by millions of people every week. People tune in to ESPN to follow their favorite sports teams not to look at Andrews. Nobody would give a shite about her if she was covering the Winter X games or some other event that nobody cares about.

sounds.... (and looks, by the way I'm reading these thread responses) that the show is getting a lot more male viewers from these moves...

This is pointless to argue with you over. Bottom line is that millions of people know who Erin Andrews is from all demographics and watch her nightly on ESPN. She made national headlines with her naked video leak and even appeared on Oprah. If you don't think that makes her famous then you are an idiot. Period. If you are trying to say she isn't a star, but Kate Gosselin is, then you an idiot. Period.

This might boil down to your definition of a "star" varying from mine, but in the terms of this show I think of it as a well-known celebrity.
