Perry Riley, Harry Coleman, and Al Woods????

Perry Riley suprised me a great deal today with his workout, seemed like he really prepared for the drills and it showed.
Harry Coleman, I thought would be faster than what he was timed and he fell once on one of the drills. He seemed over anxious and out of sorts on a few drills. Just expected a bit more.
Al Woods, was pedestrian at best, jus doesnt have the body to get it done at the next level. He is slow, not fluid, and his footwork is severely lacking.

Wow. He had a solid combine.

Al Woods measurables looked good.... He had a good vertical, one of the best in fact among other things, but his a ctual football skills in motion do not translate to him sticking in the league for long. I couldnt take him to be honest, feel like I would be disappointed at myself. I considred him one of the many underachievers from this class.

I would take him in a later round to play a true NT. He was out of position at LSU. A late rounder not panning out is not considered underachieving.

From what I'm hearing, Woods had a great combine.
Also, I'm glad for Riley. I thought he was always a very underrated player for the Tigers. He was a good tackler, diagnosed plays well, and did a more than adequate job in pass coverage.

Riley and Woods both helped themselves quite a bit in the combine. Coleman didn't.

I had high expectations for Al Woods as I think most on here would agree. I always said next year would be his year, but it never materialized. Why would I assume that he would make a leap that would keep him in the league?

Bc he might finally play in a system that fits his strengths (3-4 scheme)

Word on Riley is late 2nd/early 3rd round pick, so yeah he has helped himself. Good for him.

Hello Kansas City!!!
K.C will pick him up in the later rounds, may be 6th or 7th.

I think Woods is more 3-4 DE than NT

Agree. He doesn't have that thick lower body to be a DT in the NFL

I think Al will be like Kendrick Allen, a guy that never excelled in college up to his potential, but will not see a huge decrease in production from college to the NFL, and will last a good 5 years in the NFL.
