I always wanted to see him run a wheel route out of the backfield and get matched up with an OLB. The WR(s) to that side could've run the corner and safety oh that side towards the middle leaving Holiday up the sideline. I envisioned the play that the Saints ran with Bush on that long TD pass in the NFC championship against the Bears a few seasons ago.

I mean, how hard could that be to try just once, especially with the arm JR had. Between Jimbo and Crowton, where the f was that play?

true that, variety of ways they could have used him instead of using him like they did. If he had went to Fla. his stats might be really impressive.

i agree as a true play it wouldnt neccicarily be be that effective. as a piece of a play i think it could have been. if you send him hauling arse down the field the safties are going to have to move back to cover him, whether or not they could essentially blanket him. this would soften the underneath coverage even if just marginally. since our QB only got through maybe 1 or 2 recievers in his progression why would essentially having holiday practice his sprints be such a bad thing? i said the same thing about shepard...

and for those who say all it would take would be to bump him at the line, you may be right but its all about the mental thing. plus holliday is a shifty little bastard
