Has the staff even shown interest in this guy? With Landy, Lewis, Sylve, and possibly that Nigel King from Carolina all possibly coming to LSU, I'm not really sure where he is on the whole recruiting board at WR.

IDK, but he is better than King, IMO.

Texas is his #1, but he is not their #1. Or #2...or #3.

Great player that will probably shine elsewhere because of the numbers in Tx.

I don't think anyone knows, including Metoyer himself, where he leans after the Longhorns but I would expect him to receive a lot of love from OK State, OK, Mizzou, Nebraska, aTm, Texas Tech, Arkansas.

I agree with this, no way he goes to Texas with their numbers at WR. I think if we go OOS for WR he should be at the top of the list.
I think recruits from Texas, when of similar ability, are more important than those of all other states.

maybe metoyer is the reason they told king to hold off on his commitment?

i agree with this. maybe not more important, but more prepared to play at a high level. lots of times they are coming from a college style program in high school

Did he go to our First Jr. Day?
Or is he coming to our Second Jr. Day?
And did Nigel King go to first? Or is he coming to our second?

I agree. I meant more important for LSU to recruit. Texas is an important place for us to recruit, IMO.

We really don't need him at this point...4 WRs last year with Sylve probably being our last this year. 7 WRs in two years with the possibility of more getting converted to WR(Blue)...I don't see us having room unless someone starts to get shaky in their commitment.

Wouldn't mind keeping in contact with him in case we lose one...but we have more pressing needs right now. That or a extra spot open up down the road somehow.

Boone
Williams
TT
Randle
RS
CT
Landry
Sylve
Lewis
Fobbs
Wright

That is starting to be a little bit of a log jam there. Just a bit.

Neither came to the 1st Jr Day.

Have not seen them mention coming to the 2nd yet.

How does Brad Sylve factor into all of this. He seems to be a track star.

Just read an article published 2/11 that says that Oklahoma is recruiting him the hardest and that he's heard some from LSU. He stresses that he really wants early playing time (as a freshman) and that Oklahoma needs receivers. He also likes Arkansas. I didn't get the impression that we are really in the mix at this point perhaps because he hasn't heard a lot from our coaches. He wants to wait until after his senior season to commit but his father wants him to commit early.
