Mike Dyer is close to being the leading tailback in the SEC.

Love that pick.

Downside, I don't think my LB from Texas ever made it to campus.

So far, BayouCatFan has the best pick with the last pick in the second round in Cam Newton.

Although, I'm looking at this more as a marathon than a sprint. Most of these guys are Redshirthing.

Well guys. Basically only one week left in the "regular season". Granted, their will be conference championships going on, but just a few games left in college football, excluding the bowls.

Should we do a tally for each season or just wait until everything is over? Should we assess a winner each year?

Obviously, BayouCatFan won this year with Cam alone, but it would be neat to see how other teams did, without me having to do all the work.

I know Ambles left USC, so my team should be near the bottom.

After the season finishes and maybe even after bowl season I'll sit down and tally up stats and stuff (it will help if people can put up their teams stats).

I am thinking we should start Year 2 after NSD. If someone drops out we just assign someone else, who wants to join up, their team. We combine both classes as our team. We do this every year until eventually we can use the NFL draft as our way to keep score. The last player picked in the 7th round is worth 1 point. The second to last pick in the 7th round is worth 2 points. All the way up to the 1st overall pick. Whoever has the most points every year is the winner and on down the list. How we place determines the order of the next years draft. What do you guys think? I realize it will take a couple years to get this going, but it will be a ton of fun once these guys get drafted. Until we can use the NFL to determine the actual winner we can just debate amongst ourselves. I want to take a moment to congratulate myself on winning year 1 of the RMD draft. :nana: :nana:

If anyone drops out, I would definitely be interested. This seems like fun.

I am in again and very much looking forward to it. I will provide my team's stats and am happy to help compile others. Just split it up when the time comes.

I'm definitely in for this again.

I'll come up with something for my guys and report this week. I looked my guys up at about the half-way point and I'm more excited about the potential than I am about this first year.

I had a LOT of guys jostling around the NCAA this year.

Go to the teams' website and look through their season stats. Ususally in a PDF format, you can see the totals on each player who recorded a stat throughout the season.

Also, just aboot every team has something called "participation reports". This shows you if they played in a particular game. Obviously, this would only be used if a player was only playing a couple of plays, and not be recording stats. To find this, go the their schedule, click on any game, and find something called "final stats". Click on that and you should find a small list, with participation report in it.

Of course, in the cumulative stats, they should show how many games each player played, so the participation report might not be completely useful. I just like to see if they were playing in big games, or just "rent-a-win" games.

As far as Quarles, I say, if you draft a guy, no matter what happens, he is yours for good. Might be difficult to keep track with all the guys who go this route though, unless they all recommit to their original school. This however, doesn't always happen (Benton).

Good question, I have one of these as well.

NO rush to compile stats, I think after bowl season is a good time to do it all. Sometimes true freshmen will make a big impact in bowl season as teams look to ready themselves for next season.

To those interested in joining (I know there's a few), there should be spots from guys that didn't finish last year.

Hey Dan, do you want to set a limit to the number of teams? Or would you rather just go with whoever decides to join?

I know this would be difficult, but making sure everyone is "ALL IN", would be fantastical.

As for the guys that don't make it, I have one guy who didn't qualify, one guy who is on a mission, one guy who left the team, and another guy that even I can't find anything on. (Branden Smith, CB Central Lafourche, LA. Originally committed to Tejas Tech. Y'all try.) My vote would be that these guys are mine and I can't do anything aboot it. And I think combining teams, as someone else mentioned, would be really getting crazy. I say we take this year to year with each draft class and follow each class separately from the others.

Anyone?
