A few opening day starters and several that should contribute this year.
1 Kid failed to qualify and is at a JUCO
2 of my kids have transferred to other schools
1 kid broke a foot and will RS
1 potential starter is held up by Clearinghouse.

Jeff Luc (#48), LB, Florida St – Started the Spring game at FSU, but will start the year as a backup to Sr. Kendall Smith. Luc will play early and often.
Keenan Allen (#21), Cal, WR – He was the top rated Saftey in the country, but is listed on Cal’s 8/26 depth chart as a starting WR. This is likely why he switched from Bama to Cal.
Andrew Norwell (#78), OT, Ohio St – Currently #2 RT behind a Jr starter. The top 2 LT’s are both upperclassmen.
Ladarius Owens (#10), LB, Auburn – Likely to RS. Not on the 2 deep, but is on the roster.
Brandon Willis, DE, UCLA – Recently transferred from North Carolina b/c his family moved out west for work reasons. Likely to RS after getting such a late start. He was released by NC.
Demarco Cobbs (#24), ATH, Texas – Still listed as an ATH on the roster. He is not on the 2 deep at this point, which makes me think he will RS. Still not sure if he plays S or WR.
Mike Thornton (#96), DT, Georgia – On the roster. Not currently on 2 deep. Likely RS.
Ethan Grant (#20 ), RB, TCU - On the roster. Not currently on 2 deep. Likely RS.
Nickell Robey (#37), CB, USC – Won the starting job at CB.
Dominic Espinoza (#55), C, Texas – Currently 3rd on depth chart at C. Should redshirt.
Marcus Lucas (#85), WR, Missouri - Currently 3rd on depth chart at X receiver. Should redshirt.
David Wilkerson (#44), ILB, Cal – Interesting story that I didn’t know about until today. He had a great chance at starting the opener at OLB for Cal, but the NCAA Clearinghouse keeps on asking for more information. He has missed 4 or 5 practices, so he likely wouldn’t start until later in the season. LINK

Bryan Murphy (#93 ), DE, Bryan Murphy, Pitt – Was on the 2 deep until he broke his foot a few weeks ago. He will now RS. LINK
Brandon Coleman (#17), WR, Rutgers - Not currently on 2 deep. Will RS.
Chris Young, LB, Washington – Failed to qualify academically. Currently enrolled at Arizona Western College in Yuma.
OJ Ross (#4), WR, Purdue – Currently listed on the 2 deep at one of the WR spots.
Terrance Broadway (#10), QB, Houston – Will RS.
Jake Alexander (#76), OL, Tulsa – On the roster. Not on the 2 deep. Likely RS.
Elliott Porter, OL/DL, Kentucky – Transferred to Kentucky after being asked to GS.
Ricardo Allen (#21), CB, Purdue – Currently on the 2 deep as a backup to a Jr CB.
Kevin “KP” Parks (#25), RB, Virginia - Not currently on 2 deep. Will likely RS.
Laurence Gibson (#63), OT, Virginia Tech - Currently on the 2 deep as a backup to a Jr OT.
Nic Jacobs, (#84), TE, LSU - Not currently on 2 deep. Will likely RS.
Nicholas Parker (#4), RB, Ole Miss - Not currently on 2 deep. Will likely RS.

What do you think of the scoring system Dan?

personally, i don't care about scoring systems... yours or otherwise. i don't think there's anyway to do it fairly and accurately.

Good news for Flask. He picked Tai'ler Jones, WR for Notre Dame in the 5th. Apparently he was taking some reps with the first team and now Shaquelle Evans has been granted his release and is transfering, so it's a safe bet that Jones will get early PT.

You don't wanna have something to make it competitive? or just for the sake of having something?

Sure, you guys can go for it. I'm not sure how to quantify it fairly, but if the people want it, by all means, please do.

Dan you are the leader of this thing. Won't be able to get anyone on board if you aren't behind it.

I'm just not gonna do all the legwork to develop a scoring system. Sorry.

I loved the draft, but there's no way I'm gonna calculate that point system thing for my team

some notes i have found on my team.

1 player not enrolled, my last extra pick Jordan Jolly. Can't find where he is.

Couple of guys can push for starts or significant playing time.

Trey Millard drafted as a TE may start as FB for OK
Neiron ball will contribute as UGA moves to a 3-4 D. Drafted as a DE will play OLB
Matt Elam looking like a 5th DB
Shaun Lewis 2nd team but battling, looks like upperclassman will hold on.
Dexter Morant did rejoin the UGA team.

Probably a few others who won't redshirt such as Tyrann Mathieu, Dillon Baxter, Josh Shaw, possibly Trey Hopkins

17. TSB4L - Again a team in a hurry to get a QB,

I haven't had much time to check updates on my team lately. This is cool though, I'd like to see him at Bama.

Anyway, I definitely think there should be a scoring system. There have been a few good suggestions but I really don't care how it works.

We need to add an additional round. I will take Ace Sanders, WR,South Carolina. DAMN....did you see him last night?

I looked at him when we drafted, but decided to pass. Mistake!

TEAM HAND WEEK 1 UPDATE

Starters: 0
Played: 4
Redshirts: 19 (Injured: 3)
Grayshirts: 1

Here's my players by round with the most up-to-date blurb that I could find and their status. (It took way too long and I won't be doing it this way again.)

DE Reggie Wilson (1st round) Heralded defensive linemen Jackson Jeffcoat (3 tackles, half a sack) and Reggie Wilson (4 tackles) looked good. They stood out among Texas' true freshmen. PLAYED

DT Garrison Smith (2nd round) "(Smith and Thornton) are learning," Richt said. "They've got a ways to go. But they've got talent and we're very pleased with the talent base that they have. But they are competing against guys who are ahead of them as far as understanding the system and also guys who have been in our strength and conditioning program two or three years, so they've got a ways to go." REDSHIRT

OL Nick Demien (3rd round) Got beat by fellow true freshman Mitch Morse for the backup right guard spot. REDSHIRT

CB Terrence Mitchell (4th round) Mitchell, a prized cornerback recruit from Hillsborough, made two appearances in the second half of Saturday's game as a punt returner after Jonny Sitton and senior Faron Hornes, who returned punts last year, had trouble fielding punts earlier in the game. Also had a tackle. PLAYED

CB Cullen Christian (5th round) But Michigan, which used true freshmen Cullen Christian and Terrance Talbott on Saturday and expects to use two more true freshmen this season PLAYED

OL Arie Kouandjio (6th round) The real takeaway here, I think, is that Arie Kouandjio is doing so well early in his career. We've heard positive things all camp about him, but the fact that he has quite clearly leapfrogged Tyler Love and others after just a couple of months of arriving on campus portends very good things for his career on down the road. At this point, if he continues to develop and improve as you would expect, it's hard to not think of him getting a starting nod next year at one of the tackle positions after James Carpenter graduates. REDSHIRT

OL Christian Lombard (7th round) Lombard and Tate (Nichols): you better get to know their names, because theyre really good football players, Kelly said. Theyre true freshmen and theyre learning every day. Were going to play the best guys. And if they end up being the best guys and theyre just true freshmen out there; thats the way it is. Theyre good players. REDSHIRT

RB Giovanni Bernard (8th round) North Carolina freshman running back Giovanni Bernard is out for the season after tearing an ACL REDSHIRT

S Nick Dew (9th round) Notable true freshmen who didnt make the cut (travel roster): DT Nick Acree, DE Zack McCray, LB Nick Dew, CB Detrick Bonner, LT Mark Shuman, RT Laurence Gibson. All were big-time recruits who impressed coaches at some point during camp (either for performance or sheer physical presence, like Acree) ... but all of whom coaches ultimately decided will be better in 2011 for having redshirted this fall. REDSHIRT

S Nick Perry (10th round) And eight are true freshmen. Six of them helped bolster Alabama's defense: linebackers C.J. Mosley and Jalston Fowler and defensive backs DeMarcus Milliner, John Fulton, Jarrick Williams and Nick Perry. PLAYED

LB Tyrone Cornelius (11th round) Injured during fall camp. STATUS UNKNOWN - REDSHIRT

OL Kevin Schloemer (12th round) Alex Hoffman was able to hold a bull rush from Steve Hancock, while Kevin Schloemer kept Rob Trigg away from the quarterback after a nice spin move from Trigg. STATUS UNKNOWN - REDSHIRT

WR Terrell Reese (13th round) Whittingham said that all of the guys you expect to perform well did. He was especially impressed with the young receivers, mentioning Terrell Reese, Kenneth Scott, Reggie Dunn and Dres Anderson in his post-practice comments to the media. Freshman receiver Terrell Reese worked out with the defense, joining Jamal Smith as the latest convert. The Utes are thin at safety and want to take a look at the two in that position. Whittingham said. The Utes like how Smith has responded so far. STATUS UNKNOWN - REDSHIRT

DE B.J. Butler (14th round) Strong and his assistants waved five true freshmen on the field. Four played defense Preston Brown, a starting linebacker, plus Brandon Dunn, B.J. Butler and Marcus Smith. They played OK, Strong said. What you expect of freshmen. PLAYED

LB Aaron Franklin (15th round) Two freshmen, Corey Nelson and Aaron Franklin also figure to play a very large role in the 2010. Not currently on the two deep. REDSHIRT

DT Mana Tuivailala (16th round) Will grayshirt and enroll in Jan. of 2011. GRAYSHIRT

OL Brandon Vitabile (17th round) Not currently on the two deep. REDSHIRT

WR Salath Williams (18th round) Two likely redshirt candidates, Salath Williams and Drew Carswell, also scored. Williams caught two touchdown passes, a 52-yarder and a 33-yarder, while the 6-4 Carswell elevated for a 20-yard touchdown. REDSHIRT

WR Armand Williams (19th round) Some notables at practice: freshmen wide receivers Armand Williams, a former Slidell Tiger, and Kadron Boone worked with the veterans, as did another incoming freshman, Travis Dickson, with the fullbacks. REDSHIRT

TE De' Ron Flood (20th round) Enrolled early in January 2010. Behind three seniors on the depth chart. REDSHIRT

LB Collin Keoshian (21th round) Suffered a concussion in camp. REDSHIRT

QB Trevor Siemian (22nd round) A battle could be brewing at backup quarterback. As starter Dan Persa watched from the sideline (scrimmage), true freshman Trevor Siemian completed 10 of 13 passes for 112 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Siemian could push redshirt freshman Evan Watkins, who completed only four of seven passes. REDSHIRT

QB Tyler Smith (Supplemental) Among the true freshmen, Friedgen said Devin Burns is a little ahead of Tyler Smith right now largely because Burns was in College Park to take part in spring practice. REDSHIRT

LB Joe Gilliam (Supplemental) But coach Danny Hope likes strides made by his linebackers and consistently has raved about freshmen Will Lucas and Joe Gilliam and junior Chris Carlino, who has 17 starts. REDSHIRT

As the last team to draft a running back, my guy is tearing it up right now on ESPN.

Mustafa Greene has 5 carries for 48 yds and a td, and 2 catches for 19 yds.

He has played in all three games so far, and has scored in all three of them.
