Is Okafor's future at the 5 or the 4?

Do you think the hornets are happy with him at center? He is under contract for a long time, and I just don't know if we can really take that next step with him at Center.

Could he even play the 4??

I dont think you can put him at 4 due to lack of being a scorer. Would be an obvious upgrade defensively if we could find a large 5 for west though.

IMO he's a center. People don't understand how much of a difference it will be when we get a PF worth a shite.

West never tries for rebounds so he's constantly fighting of the other teams 2 big men. 2 vs 1 u do the math.

Okafor is PJ Brown without the free throw line jumper!

5, but he needs a complimentary traditional power 4.

Okafor will improve greatly with Chris Bosh playing alongside him

So without Tim Duncan next to him, he sucks.

Well I have joined the club in wanted West gone, just wondering what the Hornets are going to do to replace him whenever that time comes, another PF or a better C.

We might be starting Cap Space at the 4. He's an aggressive rebounder.

If you replace West with a 4 I say Udonis Haslem is the man. Affordable, nice mid range game and not afraid to bang.

If you replace west with a 5 Camby would look nice in a NOLA uni. Brad Miller and Okur are available as well.

Obviously it all depends on what you can get for west. Market probably isnt that high on him. If you can get the cap relief and a mid draft pick for him I'd take a young big and Camby or Udonis over him anyday.

Okafor already plays too slow at the 5. It's pitiful when Aaron Gray replaces you and the defense improves.

Okafor is a powerforward playin center, make no mistake, I thought the Hornets intentions when they traded Chandler who is in his last year, was to resign him to a cheaper deal and put him next to Okafor, we'll see.
