I used the search function and couldn't find exactly the thread that was discussing Cutco and it being a pyramid scheme, despite having pretty good knives. Just wanted to share this with the group.
I've used the knives for years, given them as gifts, like the quality AND the customer service, so that's my 2 cents. I also think they may indeed be a "soft" pyramid. But you might be interested in an experience I had with them this week, and if you aren't, click off now.
I have used their hand held garden clippers for years, love 'em, but they aren't cheap - about $75. This year I bought a second pair (so that 2 people could be clipping at once when we get after the yardwork) and used the package to send back my old pair for an annual free sharpening. This morning on my doorstep was a package with clippers and a letter: the clippers have been redesigned and in keeping with their Lifetime Guarantee, they are replacing the old ones with a brand new pair.
Say what you will, but that's a darn good guarantee/customer service in my book.
