Does a seller normally pay any portion of flood insurance?
Buying a new home in EBR. Zone AE.

I have never heard of that being done. You could try to negotiate some closing costs to help offset insurance due at closing, but I would think that's it.

Depending on when the policy renews...if theres only a few months from closing until the policy renews, the seller may just give the couple months covergae to the buyer. Can hurt to ask.

thanks guys. that's what I figured. My Realtor and another realtor said they haven't heard sellers paying for it.
Although a few other people said that sellers will pay the first year or so.
