I guess no one really understands what Brady over came what Brown left him. It is almost the same as SMU, and they still haven't recovered. To count any wins or losses in his first two years is not right. I am a Brady fan no doubt, because I have seen first hand what college coaches have to deal with to have any type of success. Most people have no idea. It's hard to have consistent success in college bb. Every two to three years having a chance is really all you can hope for these days because of the NBA. To be really successful you have to go after the lottery picks and guys who have a chance to play in the NBA. Every now and then someone will get lucky, but for the most part if you recruit four year guys you are going to be in the NIT. Every now and then you get a horse who will stay four years because his parents have money, at the end of the day that's what it is all about. Just look at the guys Brady had here and if they would have stayed ONE more year. Look at the NBA draft and see how many jr's and sr's there are, not many.
Having played for Brady, i can unequivocally say you are out of your mind. I'm not sure what you saw "first-hand", but you have no idea what you are talking about. Name me one former player (even when Brady was still here) who either liked him or respected him to the point that they stayed in touch with him after their college career?? I'll twiddle my thumbs and wait...the asnwer is zero. More than anything else that Brady did or didn't do while at LSU, i think the stat just mentioned says it all. The guy was a good defensive coach, a sub-par offensive coach (some assts were great though), and a terrible in-game coach. You can't couple that mediocrity with a bad person, which Brady somehow managed to do while still being employed for 10 years.
I look forward to hearing your response.
