You are correct in this statement. However, we would be fine for this year. Trent was not interested in a quick fix approach to LSU basketball. He knows exactly the kind of guys he wants here and made a conscious decision to be patient, do the best he could with what he has this year, and stock up with the guys he wants next year. Next year will truly be the foundational year for building the program the way he wants it, and not just a team to do well for a year.

My response was to someone saying that this year's talent is Brady's fault. Having said that, nobody has answered my question. Name me an SEC program who does not recruit NBA level players but still wins SEC titles or goes anywhere near the Final Four. I read in the paper the other day where Trent was talking about recruiting four year type players. He even alluded to them being "role" type players, although he said that is not really what he wanted to call them. Again, my question is which SEC programs win championships doing this?
