If you are talking about 2010-2011, I hope you are joking. There is no way LSU will be good that year. The absolute best i can see is a 6-10 conference record. That would be a huge longshot.

If you are talking about 2011-2012, there is a chance you could be decent. It all depends on who you recruit. If you can pull a kentucky, well you could be the best team in the league. with that said though, you wont. That year is totally up in the air but you wont contend for the sec unless everything falls into place. Ill give you at best 10-6.

It's easy to turn around a year in basketball. Brady took a team to 8-13 in his last year and Trent Johnson took basically the same team to an SEC Championship the next. It's really not that large of a stretch to say we could be 8-8 in the SEC next year, maybe even a game or two above that. We are bringing in A TON of talent and only losing 1 player. Every problem this year we won't have next year.
