First off, I know that we are very young and still recouping from the John Brady era.

Recover from the John Brady era?

You mean that disastrous decade that included only a Final four, Sweet 16, 3 SEC titles and 4 Western Division championships.

Guess if you repeat a lie often enough some people will believe it.

...or that stout 74-93 winning record in the SEC.

ETA: Oh never mind that's a losing record.

That seems to work for some with the "mediocre" football program at LSU.

I give Brady his due in that we had some fine teams and ever one great team, but my problem was that I never knew from yr to the next if we would make the Dance or not. I mean one yr we have 28 wins and the every next one we have 13. One yr we have 27 wins and reach the Final 4 and the next we have 17 and don't see post season play.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think Dale proved with his 15 postseason appearances in a row that we can do better than 5 postseason trips in 11 yrs.

I wish you would just go away. Clearly he was talking about the vast inconsistency of the Brady era. You know, like having back to back losing seasons in conference after going to the final four? You know, like almost completely whiffing on recruiting the last few years to prepare for the future which left us with this team this year?

its easy. if you get the right coach, he will keep the best players in-state. that will be enough.

If you dont keep your best in-state players, you must recruit nationally, like Tennessee and Michigan have to in football, because their areas are not really strong in football, compared to the famous football regions, Louisiana, Tex, Ohio, West Pa, Florida-Georgia-Bama-Miss, southern CA.

There were threads last week listing the Louisiana players in the NCAA tournament, playing on other teams. You could get to the 2nd round pretty easy with that bunch.
