I have heard it's a concern

Quiet frankly if we don't get a surprise, I am ready to call the DL class a complete failure.

I don't know what the heck happened, but we lost Hardick, and Marsh, missed on Copeland, Smith, Ego, and now this Blackmon kid may not qualify, and is a diamond in the rough (hope) type of recruit as it is.. noone offered him but us

I love LSU...and support the coaches, but I give them an F...on this position of great need thus far.

I am ticked off

Jordan Allen is still committed. Don't forget Bates either.

While I agree that the DL recruiting has been a disappointment, I do not think that it totally the fault of the LSU coaching staff. But, they have made some mistakes in strategy.

I believe that this years DL recruiting issues combined for the "Perfect Storm" and not in a good way.

DE: There was only one. I repeat, only one highly rated DE prospect in the state. That is not the fault of the LSU coaches. But what is their fault, is the concentrating so much energy on recruits outside of our main recruiting base. Should have targeted Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida more.

DT: There were quite a few lower rated, marginal DT recruits in Louisiana this year. Some may develope to be good players, some not so much. The two best DT prospects in the state do not have the grades. Once again, that is not the fault of the LSU coaches. But what is their fault, is the concentrating so much energy on recruits outside of our main recruiting base. Should have targeted Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida more.

DE was pretty good with Maclin and Allen, as well as Bates on 3rd downs.

None of your DTs get me excited bc I don't see any of them as any different than the ones we signed last year.

What we need is SIZE, and none of the guys you list are above 270 lbs.

I'd rather sign the guys instate next year.
