RP would have never been an issue had LSU recruited and stocked ample backups. I still think while recruiting under Miles is stellar as far as talent, the need hasn't totally been addressed. Offensive line and defensive line, QB all have been, still are thin. Next year LSU will be deeper at all positions, so will see how that translates. I think after 2010 the origins of the problems will be obvious.

But as I pointed out, the problems caused by losing Perrilloux were not due to what happened AFTER him, but BEFORE him. We've got Jefferson and Lee (who I think could still be a good QB, if his head isn't too messed up by what happened his first year), and I believe we redshirted a QB this past year. That gives us three scholarship QBs. And we signed one of the top pro-style QBs in the country this year. So I think we're close to getting over the effects of Perrilloux being the only QB signed in at least two years (if not three...I don't remember exactly). Again, that falls on Saban.
