Disagree. Comments about hoping a player doesn't get up after taking a hit won't go over well.

The media didn't want us to win the second Favre lost and Peyton won. This game won't be about bulletin board material and if it is, then the colts are stupid. This game is about winning the world championship, not about what a DC said. I guarantee you the Colts offense can't have anymore motivation to win a game this big than is already created by the hype that is the Super Bowl

The only thing that I saw that was "bad" was this:
quote:

"The first is that Williams is just being honest about something that every defensive coach probably says, which is, "Let's hit the quarterback, hit him often, hit him hard, and if he happens to get hurt, well hey, this is football, ladies."
and it wasn't SAID by Williams. It was written by the writer ... not as a Williams quote.

This is football ... of course we'll be trying to go after the QB ... just like all the ones before Manning.

Even though GW didnt say this:

quote:

It becomes a whole different thing, though, when you start talking about wanting to injure a player before the game. Not that Williams did exactly that here, but he got pretty close. Essentially, he said that he wouldn't mind a couple of personal foul penalties, and that if he does get one, he at least hopes that it injures Manning.

The media will be all over this in the up coming week making the Saints look like shite in the eyes of the viewer. Making our underdog status even lower and possibly retaliation from Colts D on Brees.
