Why is there such negativity towards the Tiger coaches and players? We are all supposed to be fans. We should all support our team no matter what. I agree that things don't always go how we want them to go, but that's the game of football. They can't win a NC every year, even though we think they should. Our offensive woes this season were, in my opinion, due to the lack of experience at some key positions, and should improve next season. Our coach has won a NC so he must have some clue as to what he is doing on the sidelines. We just can't expect things to change over night. The team has to learn from the experiences of last season. Also, for all of the people bitching about recruiting, we will have a top 10 class this year, as we have had for the past few seasons, so stop the crying. Just because we don't have the #1 class doesn't mean we are going down. If talent was all you needed to win championships, teams like the New York Yankees would win every single year. It takes a lot of things: coaching, chemistry, desire, execution, just to name a few. Give our team a little time and we'll be back on top. Quit bashing our coaches, players, and recruits, all this does is cause harm to the team we all love. Geaux Tigers!!

Great post. I hope the coaching staff reads it. You just gave them the answer to last years problems with the team. Who says coaches can't learn anything from this board.

It's the cool thing to do. Most people on this board don't know anything about football and they don't like how Miles speaks to the media so they fall back to name calling (see 2nd post) and/or stating their opinion like its fact....the Nostradamus'.

It's not rocket surgery or brain science. Most of us have been watching football for 20-30 years, we get it..it's not really that hard to figure out.

He makes a fool of himself and the University. This bears pointing out and is a valid criticism. If he wants the critique's to stop, then just quit doing it.

You just described the sole purpose of the Rant. It's not a circle jerk, it's a fan site.

Jesus, support the coaches no matter what? Ok Les, sure, blockhead, we will support your sorry arse no matter how much of a dumbass you sound like, or attempt to coach like, and how many SEC losses and overall losses you accumulate, and how far Bama and Florida and others just go by us! And also, we won't mind paying your chuckles the clown arse, 3.8 million a year to do all of that, to a team you inherited that was at the top of the college football mountain! Yeah, just put the blinders on, and enjoy your 7 to 8 wins and atleast 5 losses or more a year from here on out! Your sickening!

You just proved his point. Most people understand the rules of the game becasue they watch the games on TV. That is not the same as understanding a scheme, gameplan or what it takes to prepare and execute a gameplan and run a program such as LSU. You people continue to bash coaches that have been doing this most of their lives at the highest levels of their profession and won on the biggest stage. You form your opinion based on 20 second media clips and bits and pieces of games without ever seeing the hundreds of hours of work and prep that go into getting a football team ready to play every week in practice, film study and meeting sessions. Then, you want to portray your opinion as fact becasue you can watch a game. If all it took was watching a game to understand all of those things, coaches would not be making millions of dollars a year becasue any dumbass like yourself could be a coach.

I agree with this. Seems like all these fortune tellers would post a future lottery number or stock price or something we could make money with since they can predict the future. I could use the cash.

They did from 2007 to 2008.

Consider our program lucky to have fans saying negative things when things are going badly. The alternative is apathy.

Jordan Jefferson has more experience than Alabama's quarterback.

quote:

should improve next season

The operative word being "should". We SHOULD have been better than 112th THIS season. This coaching staff doesn't live up to what it SHOULD accomplish.

And yes, the offense will probably improve next season. It would be almost impossible not to. That's why improvement isn't all that's needed. We could jump 70 places in the offensive rankings and still not be a top 40 offense. It's the old John Brady method. Make things so incredibly bad that they can't get any worse, then crow about "improvement" from the worst possible to only slightly better than the worst possible. That doesn't fly with people who have any sense, although it apparently does (for 10+ years anyway) with the LSU administration.

If all we see is improvement, even a lot of it, then Crowton should be fired. I want to see a GOOD offense, not just a top 100 offense.
