Would we take all three? If only two, would it be Boone over Thomas or the other way around with the seemingly renewed focus on Louisiana?

Thomas still doesn't have any offers. From anyone.

His teammate Bridgewater just committed to Henderson State. No D1A offers for him either.

Strange.

Thomas will get an offer if we don't get Fobbs, Reed, or Boone. I would rather only take one of them and not waste a scholarship on Thomas

You don't think we'll take more than one?

I think we will and I think between Reed, Fobbs, and Boone, we will get two. I was saying I wouldn't take Thomas just because we said we were gonna take 2. It would be better to use it somewhere else on someone who will actually contribute or just hold it into next year

I think we land Boone and Fobbs.

I think it is an interesting scenario. Boone is obviously more highly thought of, has better speed, and looks to be better after the catch. Thomas runs good routes, has good hands, and looks bigger. Both play for good high school programs. Gonzales has a connection to Boone's school and they produce players regularly. Thomas (and Jackson) could maybe help with Rasco.

I think I would probably take Boone, but I could also see Thomas playing a role and offering other advangates.

So, what happens if none of the guys left on our priority list decides to come to LSU? Do we save our scholarships or waste them on 3 star guys who are trying to decide between Vandy and Troy? I say save them rather than waste them on some crap.

We aren't seriously going to offer a guy who has no DIA offers a week from NSD, are we?

I don't think Thomas will have any influence on Rasco. If bringing in Jackson and doing what we can does not bring in Rasco than nothing will. I have to think 2 of Reed, Fobbs, and Boone will be here.

Which is very nice to have Fobbs and Boone this year, and already have a great start on Landry and Alonzo Lewis next year

I would guess if someone on the priority list decides not to come here you wouldn't jump directly to crap, you would go to the next name on the list. It isn't like we're talking about taking a 5'6 140 pound receiver from False River. We also need numbers at the position, not sure how many you could afford to carry over there.

Toliver - Sr
Williams - Jr (not likely to contribute)
Randle - Soph
Taylor - Soph
Tolliver - Soph
Wright - Fr

That is all we have, not including walkons.

I don't know. I'm assuming there is some kind of scenario that could lead to it since they are bringing him in for a visit.

If we can only sign1 or 0 more WRs this class look for Tharold Simon to make the move to WR.

I think if we get Boone, we can start him in the slot from day one. Add in Fobbs or Reed and we have a solid class. We were only planning on taking 2 WRs this year and with Davis and Hunter leaving, we are now going to our 2nd tier of receivers.

Also, we basically have two commits next year already in Landry and Lewis

I would agree with the move and I think he may be the best player in this class, but does he have even the slightest chance to get eligible? A poster from Eunice on another board says it isn't close.

Strange? How about that kid from Redemptorist named Deuce Coon?

If you read this Shreveport Times article, you would get the impression that he (Eric Thomas) is partial to Arkansas. I do feel comfortable that we will get some combination of two receivers. Just not sure who it will be. If I had to guess, it sounds like Boone and Fobbs.
