Seemed to me it was sustained at a high level throuhout the game. I heard a few "analysts" say the Vikes first TD quieted the crowd, but I sure as hell didn't hear it that way. The fans in the dome did a superior job and the fact that the Vikings wore earplugs (like toddlers in a swimming pool) only confirms that.

It never once got quiet in there while the Vikings had the ball. I felt like Percy Harvin after the game.

I've never sat in the plaza for such a big game and now I understand why people wear earplugs. It's so much louder in the plaza/close to the field than it is up top or in the loge.

my ears were ringing and my voice was hoarse in about the 2nd quarter. It was a pounding, unrelenting noise. It was a relief when the Saints were on offense.

I just talked to my boss. He said he muted the TV because the crowd noise was so loud.

For the ones who went to the game, was this game the loudest you've ever heard the dome? Loudest sporting event you've ever been to?

I've been sitting in the plaza for 12 years now. I can't imagine that it's as loud at the top of the Dome as it down there. I thought the crowd was loud on defense and pretty disciplined on offense as well. The only problem was when a bunch D-bags started throwing beer bottles into the endzone at one point.

YES and YES. I have not had ringing in my ears this bad since I went to see Blue Oyster Cult in the Centroplex.

Pretty sure I agree with this. I can't remember a louder venue I've been in.

I wasn't there last night and say what you will about other stadiums (Tiger Stadium, The Swamp, Autzen Stadium, MetroDome, KingDome) whatever, our Dome is the loudest environment I've ever been in.
