Almost as absurd as paying someone $4 million/year to deteriorate the Top 5 program that he took over???

I'd just love to hear your explanation of how you've concluded this about Johnson after 1.5 seasons in Baton Rouge.

just so we can understand your point...

This is what happens when you hire a great instead of an average coach

you fired the last great coach you hire without giving him a chance
who

after he was hired to replace the last great coach you had that won you a national championship and then was run out of town.

North Carolina (12-7), the defending national champion and loser of three straight, did not receive a vote and dropped out of the poll for the first time since January 2006.

so you're saying that UNC needs to fire Roy Williams...got it

Basketball recruiting is different from other sports. Many of these kids have been recruited by schools for 3-4 years.

These threads are like most summer movie blockbusters. Everyone flocks to see them for all the fireworks but in the end, there's just not a lot of thought or substance put into them.

Most of the posters on this board would have fired Saban before he left for the Dolphins. After all, he took a No. 1 ranked program, rode it out of the top 10, and then forgot to teach the safety not to let anyone get deeper than him on the hail mary play. He must be an idiot.

so trent had not recruited anyone for stanford either, calipari brought the kids he was recruiting for memphis to kentucky. thats what concerns me about trent, he should have at least signed a couple of kids he was recruiting to go to stanford, he signed no one. it does take a few years to recruit a kid sometimes, when you when the conference you should be able to sign at least one kid who can play, this class he signed with exception to harris should be at nicholls.
