With his whole hardass persona he puts off, this guy sure gets hurt alot. And he gets hurt on what always seems like a play where someone shouldnt get hurt. Maybe he should stop drinking scotch all the time.

Shockey plays harder than pretty much anybody in the league. It's why he gets hurt a lot. He never eases up to avoid an injury situation and sacrifices his body on every play.

Steroids are taking a toll on his joints and ligaments. Along with the scotch.

I don't doubt he plays, but if he's gimpy he can't help us.They need to make sure Dinkens is ready.Intresting to see if he's activated.

Know what rjone? I think you need to walk right up to Shockey and tell him you think he's a big puss, and needs to suck it up. Keep me up to speed on how that works out for ya.

He was on IR when the Giants went to the Superbowl last time. I don't think he wants to sit this one out.

He's just a big, solid guy. If he was on roids, he could be nearly twice as big.

I don't think he'd get within twenty yards from him before Shockey melted him with his eyes genuine.

he played most of last year with a bad groin. That was pretty admirable

Michael Strahan says in his book that Shockey is really intense and is also, when it comes to injury, basically the type of guy that has to be kept off the field by the coaching staff.

just a big, solid guy who was a high school WR with no scholarship offers that went to JUCO, ballooned up 50lbs in a year while gaining athleticism and was all of a sudden being heavily recruited by Miami and OU within the year.

he plays with reckless abandon to his body.

He throws his body around on every play like its his last.

He is fun to watch, but this playing style does cause injuries.
