This is the biggest game in the history of the Saints franchise. This is not the biggest game in Colts history. They expect to be in this game annually. We do not.

Saints (13-3) vs Vikings (12-4) = good game
Colts (14-2) vs Jets (9-7) = average game

Also, Indy has been pretty successful in the past. A game this big isn't necessarily game of the century to them, so I wouldn't expect the ticket prices to be as high as in NOLA.

When was the last time there was a game like this in the dome? Never ever ever? Yeah, I'd expect that to be a hot ticket.

We've got the better game that everyone wants to see.

The only thing that comes close is LSU in the 2003 and 2007 National Championship games. In those games, the opposing team got about 20,000 season tickets, negating LSU's perceived home field advantage somewhat.

The scene in and around the Dome for this one is going to be NUTS. The crowd will be 95-99% Who Dats. When Minnesota is on offense the crowd noise will be louder than it's ever been in the Dome, which doesn't bode well for a team with a 4-4 away game record. I look for Favre to call several "unwanted" timeouts and for Minnesota to have at least 2-3 delay of games.

True but this ticket price is set by the Saints fans. If Dallas was playing us the ticket could have been inflated by demand from Dallas fans coming in from Texas. But I imagine this is solely because of Saints fans wanting to see us go to the Super Bowl. If we were playing Green Bay or Philly the tickets would still have been what they are now.

I hadn't had enough coffee at that point.

I was checking prices for fun for the Pats game. Highest price that I saw was $8850 a ticket, so far, for this game, $25K.
