I've decided to stop berating him on this message board. I'm sure Miles doesn't really care what I think and moreover, it's not possible to put any more pressure on him than there already is.

I just hope the glimpses of rational coaching that we saw at times from 05 to 07 and in the GT and Auburn games show up for good next year.

I agree.

For 2010 we have to play the hand that we are delt with Miles,Crowton and Co.

There are many things that I like and respect about Miles and I for one hope that he turns things around.

I do have strong concerns about the O-Line and JJ's development as a QB. I look at the teams that we will play in 2010 and we have to start strong to be able to be in the mix at the seasons end.

Can we beat Florida and Bama this year ? To be honest, I may be more worried about the North Carolina and Tennessee games.

Saban will soon wear his welcome out at Bama and the Gators do not have Tebow, so I like our chances.

Now, if we can just get Toliver to learn how to run a route and catch the ball !

at what point are LSU fans going to get tired of hearing the media, other SEC school fans and LSU fans on this site talking shite about Miles and our team, and get pissed off and fired up for next year?

i guarantee you it's going to happen, not only for the fanbase but the players and coaches as well. the late marquise hill said it best when he said "People are gonna respecting LSU, or we're gonna hit you in the mouth."

frick all these people talking shite. i'm ready for September baby.

When Miles stops using crap like "the want" and "finished 2nd place in this ballgame" all the while not replacing the OC of the 112th ranked offense and only replacing coaches that 1) took a hc job elsewhere and 2) resigned because he was violating NCAA rules at LSU.

Leaders will lead and the flock will follow, but when your leader is clueless, has no answers and only spouts illiterate statements that are meaningless, then the flock will stray.

I wish Miles was a better coach and leader because LSU pays him to be just that.

I am content with 8-4 or 7-5 records as long as we are having winning seasons and there is some bowl game to look forward to. We will eventually come back to the SEC championship game. I am glad that we have some coach instead of having no one.

ETA: I am also glad that we are able to recruit enough good players to get that done and not have to rely on walk-ons.

I agree with the OP even though I have never attacked him and call him names. Nothing is going to change this year so I will support LSU and hope like hell we win the West, SEC, and NC. I would settle for the west right now though.

It doesn't bother me ppl voicing their opinions of Miles bc of the whole free speech thing,. I honestly believe if the basketball team was better, more ppl would have moved onto that subject by now, but since we are doing bad ppl want to keep talkin FB nonstop. It's understandable.

I am happy that we have a basketball team that has potential and will be good in a couple of years.

As long as we can make the NIT and have some good games that is a nice season.

I think Miles will make an effort to step up his game in 2010. The Mississippi Meltdown and getting beat by Meyer and Saban the last couple years have to be wake up calls for the man. You don't get paid $3.8 mil a year for that kind of stuff, and I'm sure Miles understands that. Either we see some noticeably improved coaching in 2010 ... or we likely see a new coach.

Good thread.

He's our coach. It's still LSU football.

Let's back Miles and co.

Don't misunderstand me of sayin the BB team sucks or I want Trent fired bc I don't. I think Trent is a helluva coach, but everyone knew this was gonna be a rough year for him. As I said in another thread, I'm driving 2 1/2 hrs just to see them play this weekend. I'm excited about the future of Tiger BB with him at the helm.

With a new coach I shall be happy with 6-6 and will be willing to give him time to get his players and the existing players to buy into his coaching.

I do too. Sometimes enough is enough. But the season ended less than 3 weeks ago, all the coaching staff changes have been made and Miles is still spouting the same incoherent BS. Not much has changed.

Once signing day and spring practice roll around, the optimism of a new LSU football season will bring new hope regardless if it's truly warranted or not.

Well said. Give it a rest, people. We've got basketball and baseball to watch.
