along with the def and off lines we don't have a strong qb...are we not looking at the same qb time and time again he looks like a scared deer in headlights...he has not shown developement, he holds onto the ball too long, he can't throw the long ball or short routes for that matter..his mechanics are poor..you guys make so many excuses for this guy oh he is so young but he is not developing like he should...i have no faith in this qb we need a pro style qb who can carry this team and strike fear into other teams...you think jj strikes fear into teams...give me a guy who can throw bullets and watch this team take off...

i beleive with all my heart that chris garett is the answer to this question

i was talking to someone today and we both agreed that this guy has some talent but who is coaching him is the question?

Come on, we all know what your real problem with JJ is.
Posted on 1/16/10 at 1:13 am to emry123
it makes me sick every time i watch jj because he just is not working out...i am sure he is very talented in another position but just not qb..i also think we do not have coaches that can develop him the way he needs to be..

he's a better QB now(a true soph) than flynn ever was.

i can get behind this.
i think that jj could be a 250+ yard a game guy by the time he's a senior. line gets better, running game gets better, passing game explodes.

Holy ... fricking ... shite. I can't believe you had the balls to actually post that shite.

flynn was a middle of the road qb for a team playing big time football.
let's not get carried away.

I think he can bench press 300 lbs. Pretty strong to me.

The talent is there, the coaching isnt, JJ will only be as good as he was in high school

he was a faily good QB last season who is progressing well and whose best days are ahead of him.

What in the hell do you expect from JJ? He had numbers comparable to Flynn(who all of you obviously love). In most games, JJ is all we had. We no running game and even worse pass protection. Throughout all that adversity he still took us to a 9 and 4 record. He would have won 11 if our idiot coaches(who aren't really helping JJ's progress) had some clock management skills. JJ is far from perfect but he is far from our main problem. All this talk about JJ not improving is false. As the year went on he got better better reading defense and he also got better throwing the deep ball.

Don't agree with this...Flynn had his moments but he played smart football. Remember, Flynn had to sit behind Jamarcus Russell his whole career. Remember the Miami bowl game and National Championship game? In addition, he's a back-up in the NFL.

Then you better get some anti-nausea medicine for the next two year, unless Les and/or Crowton leave town during that time.

LA typically turns out stud QB's. The state has been in a QB drought in the high school ranks the last several years, and this drought has transpired to poor QB's on the team to date. Much more difficult to get top ranked QB's out of state. Perriloux was the last in recent years, but he was a head case. Where are all the talented true passing QB's in LA?

Didn't he have the 2nd highest efficiency rating in the SEC.
I still maintain that the problem is not JJ. He is a good (potentially great) SEC QB.
The problem is 2-fold:
1. No QB coach with an OC who cannot develop a QB
2. I still think the coachong staff coached him into playing scared because they didn't want a repeat of the J Lee debacle from the year before.
