NCAA less fun than it used to be?

I used to play a ton during college (01-05) but hadn't played since the 06 version.
I recently played 2010 and it seemed gimmicky, gameplay had gotten much more complex and the AI has changed so much that I didn't enjoy it. Thoughts?

So the game is less simple and the AI isn't just 11 blundering retards and now you suck at it, so it's gimmicky and not fun. Gotcha.

i personally think that 09 was better than 10...seems like anyone can run down anyone...everyone seems to be like the flash in the first 5 yards

I'll throw the ball to a wide open receiver and it gets picked.
I throw it to a guy in triple coverage and he catches it. Its just bullshite.

lol....depends on your qb and how you throww the ball...sometimes need a bullet pass, others a floater, and others a normal strength....all depends...

Biggest problem in my opinion. I can't stand it. On NCAA 04, players moved fine. I don't understand how they continually screw it up.

Of course it's fun if you're winning. I stopped around 07. I have to agree that the focus seemed to go to gimmicks rather than the game.

This. I like how you have a receiver wide open with about a ten foot gap between him and his cover man, and the cover man mysteriously zaps ten feet in one second to knock the bullet pass ball loose. Yeah that's very real.

This is so true seems like the game is sped up to 2x speed.
