Saw it tonight. Wasn't that bad. Willem Dafoe was pretty good. Sort of reminded me of him in Boondock Saints minus the gay

yeah
they could have added a lot more layering to the movie, but it was all fluff
the world they created, visually, was cool. but only avatar gets away with that

I liked it for what it was. I didn't really have high expectations going in, so that might have helped.

the first matrix had a somewhat novel story/plot, good action scenes, and solid acting
