I guess it was just coincidence that throughout the season when Lyle Hitt came out that the offensive line actually performed better....
No...i thought they pretty much sucked all year. Im not saying it hasnt happened but to say no freshman or sophomores that should have started never did is just wrong....and perpetuating that myth can only hurt recruiting.

I hope this means he gets on Stud's butt about our offensive line. It's been reported here and there that he doesn't either like to teach technique or just doesn't do it
Uh, then why does the man have a job? What else is an OL coach responsible for? Bringing beer to the Sunday BBQ?

Ole Les, same old shite out of his mouth just a different day.

I 2nd that. There's a lot of fire, a lot of want in this team. It's the best OL he's had ever!

until he proves otherwise, we're always gonna believe this...he's lost us and he has to work 10 times harder then what he had too to get us back...(never happen)

How is it a myth? Why did the person responsible for the most electrifying play of the season not even see the field in a handful of games?
Hurt recruiting? How so? If you really think that anything said on this board has any correlation to what a recruit actually does, you have some serious issues.
If that were the case every thread would then have to be on what a great and wonderful place Baton Rouge is and people would be fools to want to go anywhere else.

I'm behind him for one more season. Mainly because I have no choice.

This isnt the point...i agree that RS should have seen the field more. Im talking about the myth that Miles doesnt START freshman or sophomores that deserve to start.

he has to prove it, not with words, but with action. we will see next season if he is ready for the challenge.

OK.......you just contradicted yourself.....RS did deserve to start and sat his arse on the bench, and for the most part the rest of his highly rated recruiting class did as well.
To have a class like he did last year and not have 1 make freshman All-SEC something is wrong.

Here are my thoughts.
I think Miles has endured criticism in the past, just comes with the job. I don't know he has ever endured criticism like what he saw for this year. As he stated, you can't pay attention to fans but I think it had an impact on him.
Second, I think he has now had some time to reflect on the season and realizes there were mistakes made in several different areas. These could stem from clock mgt on his part, to the selection of RB's used in games, to competition in the spring instead of just handing someone a job because they have held that job in the past.
I will be the first to admit I have been tremendously disappointed this year in our coaching staff. I realize they don't actually play on the field but it was obvious that they were not prepared for certains situations.
I am hoping the two new additions to the coaching staff will have a positive impact on the upcoming situation. I don't hold out much hope and without significant changes in our approach, 2010 will be worse than 2009.

The responses are as predictable as Crowton's play-calling.
I like what he said and hope he means it.

yep he says he is going to make changes to this and that. well how about makeing some to les miles . stop blowing smoke , we will get it fixed bull sh--. this week we will get no# more touches and we will do this and we will do that. well i'am tire of him messing around with the asst coaches, you are paying them let them do their jobs. and he needs to play his play makers that are sitting on the bench. rs will probably be the next trindon , play 3 or 4 plays and go sit. we won't be much better than last year.

RS did deserve to start
Where? At QB?
Do you bench Scott and Williams and start him at tailback?
Do you sit Lafell or Toliver and split him out?
Shepard should have been used more but he's not a starter at any of those positions. And it's been said a thousand times but he wasn't the most prepared player when he got the chance to go into the game.
