The 3 DL look is a mirage, that why I was insisting on sending someone outside. You know for a fact when a good QB sees 3 down lineman he starts licking his chops...thinking that time is on his side. I'm a huge fan of exotic blitz packages from a 3 lineman look, I think they work well when used properly.

More importantly, I think our defensive personnel work better like that. We've invested money in good CB's and a pro bowl safety...let those linebackers blitz those gaps.

I loooove the idea of delayed blitzes....I don't know why I didn't say that, b/c I sure was thinking it. Delayed MLB blitz to go with that safety pressure? mwahhaha I think so.

this game can't get here soon enough.

Yea the blitzer off the edge would hopefully force Warner to stepup.

Big advocate of delayed blitzes as well. That's something that's been missing at LSU since Pellini/Saban left as well. Too many teams just stack the line with their blitzers. Anytime an OL sees a LB or CB coming ahead of time, he has the advantage (that's why he's an OL and the other is a LB/DB). The blitzer gets the advantage when the OL is looking or engaged elsewhere and comes where he's not looking.
