of the LSU football program... I suggest taking a deep breath, get a cup of coffee, mosey on over to the recruiting board and spend some quality time reading up on our committed players..

The 2010 commitment list is impressive, and a smile will certainly come to your face when you see the 6 early commitments on board for 2011. This list looks to grow to 8 real soon!

I will be shocked if LSU doesn't finish in the top 2 next year in recruiting..Our state talent is that rich...Call me a homer, but this class is going to be special... and it's coming together quickly....

2011 is probably the most talented class of HS juniors in State History...only time will tell...but the talent is off the charts.. We probably already have 3 5 star guys (evaluations are not in yet)....

On premium boards you can see what the players are saying about LSU, and the coaching staff.. a sense of real pride wells up in your heart.... I can tell you that much. :)

these are all Louisiana boys who want to make it about staying at home, playing for LSU. to me this is extremely encouraging..Players that grew up in Louisiana, and want to strap on the P&G uniform.

Frank Wilson, Coach G, and Les are selling Louisiana and LSU hard! I tip my hat..they are doing a fantastic job...

Here is to an exciting season next year...

Don't forget about how awesome the 09 class was....we are just getting warmed up....most of them red-shirted...

Enough of the negativity...! Just stop...Myself included

I am getting close to getting over it and moving on. Maybe another day or so.

I am in dire need of this. Can you elaborate more without crossing the line?

I can say that none of the juniors have mentioned talking to Crowton at all today...interesting. They all love Billy G and FW.

How good was our 2009 recruiting class? Funny I don't recall any of those guys making the All-Sec freshman team.

Encouragement for Future Offense
Here you go Apex. Our offense should be good next year if Crowton follows his patterns right?

These patterns can't be blown to hell, right. College football is a game with no variables, right? After 8 years of college coaching Nick Sabans pattern would show an average of 4 games lost per year. Seriously though, I don't like the looks of that but I can't say that pattern won't be changed for the better next year.

Maybe if the patterns of running the option to the short side of the field are interrupted things may change....

That is putting the best spin on it for sure. 112th out of 120th. Nowhere to go but up right? If you want to look on the bright side I guess that is what you would say. We can't do worse than horrible. That is why we stayed with Crowton. Plus we save a million on a buyout.

The funny thing is that in end they won't save a nickel because I'm sure we have a smart enough fan base to turn the money faucet off until we start seeing some dramatic improvements. I don't think it would be out of the realm of possibility that people give less this year, perhaps $1 mil less. When the good ole boys see the collection plate is low, maybe then they'll get it.

They called that on average maybe 1.7 times a game? In the future it'll go down as a rant myth that we tailored our whole offense around the "short side option". I think the "SSO" was a throw away play to just keep defenses half way honest in defending our punch less attack this year. We shall see.

Why waste a play? Could RS not have been put in on those plays instead to at least give us somewhat of a chance of breaking one?

Your spin is that it can't, or won't get any better and will tail even further down. Mine is, in fact, that it can't get much worse. BUT, some key variables have a chance to go our way and drasticly improve those numbers. A couple of them being that young OLmen got a lot of PT, and JJ can improve a lot in a year. You keep the outlook dark, and I WILL stick to the brightside.

Well, you aren't giving the look of your normal sets with RS in there running that out of those sets. You are running those plays to help JJ in other play calls from the same sets and formations.

Top ranked recruiting classes won't get it done for this coaching staff. We ALWAYS sign great classes, but this staff doesn't know what to do with them.

It's got it done for them every year except for the last two for various reasons

I respect loyalty in all forms but this statement is downright laughable. Its not like Les has been at LSU 30 years. Two years is a significant percentage of his coaching tenure in BR.
