Can you really blame this on JJ? he did a great job and he could've WON against Penn State if it wasnt for that Penalty against LSU and Crowton screen play

i blame nothing solely on JJ, he was one of the bright spots on our offense. i guess i expected too much after what i saw in the GTech game last year.

What exactly did you see in him?...We won that game because of our rushing attack and killing the triple option

maybe my expectations for him were unfair after his performance against GTech

Definitely considering how limited the sample size was to detemine his true ability. He played a half against Ole Miss, a game against Arkansas, and a bowl game with a month to prepare.

The GT game was not a fluke type of game. He played like that against Washington, Auburn, and even Alabama before his injury. I hate it when people say that he doesn't have it "between the ears", because you can tell that he understands what he's doing. He doesn't put us in bad spots outside of his tendency to hold the ball too long. I just think people look too much into just the QB, without really considering everything around them. McElroy and Jordan put up very comparable stats. Don't you think Jordan's numbers would be better if he had a Heisman winner to hand off to, a defense that yields 11 points a game, and perhaps the best coach in college football? I certainly do.

Jefferson's stats from the Chik Fil A Last year

Passing: 16-25, 142 yards, 1 TD
Rushing: 10 carries, 25 yards

You can say alot of things about JJ, but you can't say he hasn't progressed.

Exactly. For some reason it seemed like he had no chemistry with the wideouts. Maybe this is why gonzales was hired.

Not at all.

The offensive playcalling sent JJ with a hand tied behind his back, if a play from a formation worked, chances are we wouldn't even see that formation again, Crowton outsmarts himself by trying to mix up the formations to give defenses different looks. However, to many different formation don't allow the offense to create a rhythm.

Also, having a non existent rushing attack, allowed teams to just focus on the pass as the season went on.

Well lets hope that JJ learns the offense well enough to audible out of Crowton's idiocy instead of looking to the sideline.

he did have that one play against penn st. where called out the blitz, set a hot route and threw it for a TD. that was beautiful

That's the problem right there. Miles and Crowton are so afraid of a Lee repeat that they are totally handcuffing JJ to make sure he doesn't make a mistake. Not to mention the fact that JJ saw firsthand what Lee went through with the fans and is scared shitless to make a mistake.

It's another case of overthinking the situation and it has affected JJ's growth as a QB.

You're an idiot and should never post here again. Jefferson is one of the worst QBs I have ever seen in the SEC.
