I think it has to do with the Bama backs being confident the hole will open up, so they hit the hole at full speed.

This year our backs were slow to the hole because it generally was not there so they either ran up someones back or tried to cut to the outside and were tackled in the backfield.

I think its a confidence issue with RB's and line. Not lack of speed with the RB's.

That's is really good analysis. It makes sense, our O-Line was atrocious this year. One of the worst I have seen in a while. Ciron Black will not be an impact player in the NFL. Can you imagine Dwight Freeny, Demarcus Ware, and Julius Peppers burning his arse?
