Would our preseason ranking be helped by Crowton leaving?

I don't know if the powers that be consider this or not. I would hope so, but I'm not sure. It's not that I care about preseason rankings, but I would think it might affect recruiting to some degree.

It would definitely be mentioned as to why we were ranked where we were.

No. ANd it would hurt our chances for next season.

Do you people really want your QB to have to learn a new system. If crowton is out, chalk up 2-3 losses next season

I know one thing, I don't want our QB to have to operate in this system anymore.

We have a system?

I am all for the old system being discarded.
Crowton's system is horrible.

what on God's green earth makes you think JJ learned anything under Crowton this year? i admit he probably didn't know how to look like a meerkat before coming to LSU, but that's about it.

So by keeping Crowton we win the BCSNC or lose 1 game?.........

Perhaps you should change your location from Pine Island to Fantasy Island fella......

That was what I was going to ask. Yes, it's called "The Wild Meerkat."

Boy I sure hope you are not one of those guys who thinks JJ is an idiot...bc that would be silly.

I like how JJ has progressed thus far. I dont think he will be able to do as well next season after having to learn a new system.

In a perfect world. Crowton and miles stay for one more season. JJ has a great year, Goes pro, miles goes to mich, crowton goes away.

have a new hc, a new OC, and a new QB. Start from scratch

Had a better passer rating than the great matt flynn ad a 5th year senior and jruss had his sophomore year(also more TDs and fewer interceptions). Id say he is developing quite nicely.

This is possibly the farthest into the stages of deep delusion and denial that I've ever seen a member of the Tiger Rant go.

Make no mistake. I dislike Crowton as an OC as much as anyone on this board. I just think jj would be better served not having to learn a new offense before next season

I'm more worried about the recruits we may lose if Crowton stays. Of course, if he goes to Chicago the average Bear fan has to worry whether their QB can learn the option to the side of the field where you have about 5 feet to operate. You gotta be a helluva QB to pull that off. Then, they have to learn how to go 80 yards in 50 seconds with no timeouts and running nothing but middle screens and QB draws. Then, they have to accomplish all of the above with only players older than 35 since the younger players have not earned the right to play. Damn, that's a tall order!

What you mean, "you people"

Hell yes b/c it appears that the system is flawed, players are not utilized and the QB seems confused.

Uh, hell yes.

that wasn't your original claim nor my question. you talked about what JJ had learned under Crowton. from his first start to his last start (bowl game to bowl game) you can tell he learned something from Crowton? i'm asking: what? MVP in first bowl to...the most sacked QB in the SEC (i know the OL is to blame for some, but he didn't "learn" to throw the ball away all season under Crowton, so yeah his passer rating is higher than it should be).

I find that EXTREMELY hard to believe. Do me a favor and point out my "delusions" for me.

Is it that JJ would struggle having to learn a new system?

OR is it that JJ has had a better sophomore season at QB than Jruss did?
