This thread isn't to find reasons to bitch about the obvious. People have been doing that all season. This thread is about taking the fanbase back to where it was, no matter who the coach is

Agreed. I support Miles because i know not all of this should be blamed on him, although it seems to be the easy thing to do.

However...i do believe Crowton should be let go and if he's not he may be Miles' downfall.

Then lets let our coach do what he needs to do. Not bring the man down, and have the fans make it worse

it's time to get behind the LSU Tigers...Miles will be gone from LSU long before I'm gone as a fan (re: dead). There's no reason to drive all the fun and support out of the program just because you may want a new coach next year.

I gaurentee that the fanbase has an affect on where some of these guys end up. To not see that makes you naive and you know nothing about recruiting

I actually agree with this. BAMERS are loving this meltdown and it plays right into their hands.

Sadly, the gumps don't need a meltdown on an LSU message board. The meltdown was there for all to see on national TV, for the past two seasons.

When you're the laughing stock of the national media, what can you do?

unfortunately nothing. But it is possible to make it worse for the school. I don't ever want LSU, as far as the fanbase, to continue dropping to where it is going. I remember as a kid going to the games and loving every aspect of it (through the late 80s-90s), no matter what. We were so much worse a program but the fan support was like I never seen. Thats long gone now

He was 6-6 2 yrs ago. I would not call that cleaning up.

This message board has zero bearing on recruiting.

Show me a link to one recruit turned off by the LSU fanbase. Just one. Do it, g'wan.

I wish I could.

I hate to say this, but for the first time ever, I was glad to see this football season end. It absolutely wore me out, and it was not fun to watch. Even our victories were painful. Call me what you will, I'm just being truthful.

I mean that in a way for the athlete choosing his school, not just recruiting in general

I'll support the coaches because we don't have any other options and because ultimately i want LSU to succeed. I hope we go undefeated and win the SEC and National Championship regardless of who is on the coaching staff.

However, in order for us to maintain the caliber of program we want it's our collective job as a fanbase to point out when the caliber of the program is in jeopardy. Decline is due to poor recruiting, poor planning/management, and/or a lack of adjustment when necessary. I think its obvious that Miles and Co. recruits good enough to win championships, but Miles and Co. lacks the ability to game plan, game manage, and adjust.

I hope this changes with the new additions to the staff... but I'm not confident it will change.

Those are one and the same dude. Recruiting is the process in which a student athlete chooses his school. This board has zero influence whatsoever on anyone except for those getting pissed off about it.

Les Miles is most likely telling recruits Meyer will not be at Florida, that Saban will be gone in a few years....its the nature of recruiting. This board is irrelevant to the process.
