Man, that is beautiful. I think most of us on here feel the same way. Need to e-mail this to LSU or send it in a letter. To good to just fall to the wasteside here on the rant.

Playing up to potential is not in the Miles Playbook.
Good Points.
Unfortunately, the Prenup with Miles is going to keep this unholy union intact for a while.

damn well written post....
I think you are feeling the same things that we all are feeling....nervously awaiting next year to see whether we trend up or down....
next year at this time we will have the answer to miles' future in BR....

Way to go NoGumps. Well put, reasoned, cogent but, I fear, unpersuasive to the PTB. Bold moves are difficult for any bureaucracy, LSU being susceptible to the ossification that afflicts the large and the cumbersome...

Wow, those are some real fancy words to support a worthless proposition. Miles has not yet performed shitty enough to be fired. If you really believe that Miles should be fired right now, which is what your suggesting, you really don't get how things work in college football.

In football, there are coaches going up the ladder, and those going down. Coaches are being hired, and other coaches are being fired. That's
what how football works. Mediocraty is the worst situation for a program can experience. A coach not bad enough to get fired, but not good enough to move to the top. Stuck in the middle.
I'm sure that Miles will be back next year, and probably the year after that. As long as he is at LSU, we can expect 8-5, 9-4 seasons. If Aleva thinks that OK, we cannot do anything to change his mind - but only one thing. Stop buying season tickets. Then if Aleva does not fire Miles, he will be fired with him at some point.

true, but you never know. He could tank next year and be gone sooner than we expected. Or he could surprise many on here and make it to Atlanta. Even Mac Brown had several years which most here would consider average at best. I'm in the minority because I'm more concerned about Chavis than Crowton. We'll just have to wait and see, but this fire Miles this year stuff is ridiculous.

I'm just expressing my own wish for better coaching ASAP... I perfectly understand why Miles wouldn't get fired after this year...but I hope Mr Alleva is of the midset that another year like 2009 in 2010 is unacceptable...Why Crowton will be our OC any longer....that's what I call "stupid".

Pretty much sums up how I feel. I WANTED to believe Miles was a good coach, and I kept suppressing those nagging doubts. But after this year, it should be obvious to anyone with even a rudimenatry knowledge of football that Miles is a below average coach for a top tier program.
