Please name ONE.

I disagree. On Friday he evaded pass rush and didn't take one sack. His only interception wasn't even his fault. How many drops did TT have? Yeah, he was pretty bad in the first half, but so was the entire team. And he didn't lose the game.

Still think he has shown zero improvement? Name me ONE LSU quarterback who was a freshman/sophomore who has put up better numbers than JJ in his sophomore year. Just one.

It is not just the qb. It is the entire offense. It's the play calling that is so questionable so much of the time. The offense has gotten progressively worse and the one area, which Crowton is supposed to be known for, passing, started at 58th and has gotten much, much worse. Quit trying to excuse the very worst offense in LSU history. If there was some semblance of offense LSU could be in Pasadena this year.

Show me stats to support this. I want to see freshman/sophomore stats against JJ's. Also keep in mind that Herb had one of the greatest runningbacks that has ever been at LSU and a much better offensive line.

Which is hilarious since Herb couldn't hit the broad side of a barn on alot of throws. Guarantee if the rant existed during the 1996 Bama or 97 Auburn game this wouldn't be the case.

I'm not excusing the offense at all. The offense as a whole this year was a joke. But I'm pissed at all the LSU assholes on here who refuse to give a young qb and consider all angles of analysis.

Sometimes I really do believe that this site does more to hurt the LSU athletic program than it does to help it.

Jefferson's Sophomore year stats are much better than Tyler's Sophomore year stats. fwiw. But I'm sure no one cares about that.

They're even better than his Junior year stats and about the same as his Senior year.

This is what Crowton has said:

quote:

Gary Crowton already has drawn the ire of the LSU fan base with the ineptitude shown by the Tigers on offense this season. That screen pass should exacerbate it. Crowton has said recently that there are “too many weapons,” on the LSU roster, and that sometimes it's hard to get guys going. Something tells me that excuse isn't going to fly anymore.

The man doesn't know what the hell he is doing.

why does it even have to be an LSU qb. there have been lots of really successful freshman and sophomore quarterbacks. jefferson just didnt have it this year and i don't think he will next year. its not too late to make him a defensive back

They won't accept it.

Compare JJ and JRoc's sophomore stats.

Now consider the quality of SEC quarterback that JaMarcus was in his junior season at LSU. And please keep NFL stats out of his, because we are talking about LSU not the Oakland Raiders.

I can't help but be optimistic.

Miles is not going anywhere and Jefferson is going to be the QB for the next 2 years. I also strongly feel we not win another SEC West Title with either one of them. I blame LSU for this more than anyone. Miles is doing his best, he is just in over his head. The last 2 years proves he can't touch Saban.

Did you think the same of JaMarcus (like every other ranter) prior to the 2006 season?

Herb was essentially Marcus Randall with a weaker arm but better running ability. He was the definition of an athlete playing quarterback which many ranter incorrectly charge Jefferson with being.
