How long did it take to get to being consistant threat. Florida and Bama were games that made their teams play their best to win. There is no team out there that sees the Tigers as a easy victory. Trust me Penn State and JoePa was greatful for the rain and the field!!!

Miles is done and shouldn't be a HC...only a matter of time now.

Well, the last time we ran off a coach was Dinardo and that worked out well. Glad the positigers didn't get to keep him for 20 years to see if he could get it turned around.

Charlie Mac sucked. He needed to go 7 years earlier.

Mac didn't have a 15 million dollar buyout and an iron clad contract to back him up. Les ain't going anywhere unless he has a LOSING record.

Check his stats. Struggled with Bryant but so did everyone.

LSU fans love of Charlie Mac just demonstrate the culture of LSU fan's willingness to accept mediocrity.

Charlie Mac was loved because we Louisianians much prefer a "good ole boy" who you can have a drink with but does an okay job over a dick who you don't want to be around, but does an excellent job...

its an acceptance of the mediocre...

The last time LSU ran off a winning HC..

It didn't have 2 national titles in it's back pocket from the last six years..

It didn't have the Ponderosa/Indoor Facility..

It didn't have a TAF..

It didn't have an SEC capable of four different schools being BCS Champs in the last eleven years, all of which to date not being a Bama team, one that has three crowns in 13 yrs, two that have two crowns the last six years..

It didn't have it's share of a Billion dollar CBS deal..

It didn't have..I can go on and on and on..

If you want to talk LSU Football 1979, you just as soon talk LSU Football 1909..both are an ancient irrelevant history to today's situation at LSU.

LSU also hired an excellent coach to take his place. a young, up and coming coach who WAS KILLED unexpectedly, ultimately putting LSU in a bind as far as a coach. this more held LSU back as a program than anything.

No doubt that we are in a tough position.

The team has played undisciplined football and lacks the coaching of basic fundamentals of blocking and tackling. There is nothing new about the lack of those basics under Miles.

We also have inferior game preparations, lack of adjustments, clock management, etc.

Bottom line is that we are 0 -6 the last 2 years against FL, AL and OM. We are lucky not to be 0-3 against ARK for 3 years running. Looking at the overall program, it has the distinct perception of moving backwards.

The perception that Miles did nothing but win with Saban's left overs looks more correct with every passing game.

The fact that Miles gets paid $4 million a year to get us Elite play makes it more pungent.
