I'm really glad we're electing to bash our QB again. Nevermind that our fricking o-line was being pushed in the backfield all damn day or that we had 41 fricking yards rushing. No, forget about that right? No matter how you morons spin it he WAS a young QB In the SEC. Gotta hope he gets better because if we are relying on Chris Garret next year with that schedule we are in trouble boys.

There might be some that would say we would not have won it all in 2007 with JR as our QB, but I am not one of them.
And those who make that claim are out of their minds. LSU getting to tne BCS championship reqired a lot of factors Flynn had nothing to do with.
1. RP winning two games as QB including the SEC championship game he was the MVP in that got them to the BCS championship.
2. WV losing to underdog Pitt
3. Kansas losing to an underdog.
JR, the year before, threw more TDs, less interceptions, a higher completition percentage and higher efficiency rating. Every QB statistical rating overwhelmingly favored JR. His won/loss record was the same as Flynn's. JR's two losses came on the road to top 5 teams,Florida and Auburn, one of which won the national championship. Flynn lost to much lower rated teams, Kentucky and Arkansas, one at home.
To claim Flynn was the difference between the BCS championship the following year versus JR the year before is being disingenious.

Lee, imo, has some good physical skills, but I think he is ruined here by poor coaching and an unforgiving fanbase. He might do well playing elsewhere, but I don't think anyone can mentally overcome what he faces here. Garrett? I have no idea, only what I saw in the Spring game and at the scrimmage I got to attend. He certainly looks to have a much better motion and release than JJ. I don't want to just keep shuffling, I want someone that is going to give us the best chance to win.
Now you see potential in Lee. LEE? But none in JJ. WOW! Lee's problem is poor coaching and an unforgiving fanbase. Somehow JJ has different coaching and a different fanbase?

what signs? JJ laughing it up on the sideline? Not showing any improvement or desire to improve?
damn some of you folks are a joke

I am not talking about Mauck or Flynn, and especially not Lee. You brought up AA quarterbacks being held to different standards and I called (from my perspective) BS.
You have to talk about Mauch and Flynn in comparison to the treatment of JJ and JR. JJ and especially JR have statistically done as well or better that Mauch and Flynn. Have they received the same treatment from the fan base? If you are honest, you would have to say no. Some would claim Lee was treated harshly. However, Lee had a historically bad season at QB last year. Yet many still wanted him starting over JJ this year.

For a QB Lee's arm strength and delivery>>>>JJ.
Reading a defense? Who can tell. Lee had to do a lot more last year due to our defense being so poor, this year JJ was allowed to do nothing. No passes over the middle, total waste of our outstanding TE. No risk no reward.
Call the poor coaching a draw. The fanbase negative reaction to Lee>>>>>than JJ has faced. IMO, pick-sixes aside, it is because of people like you that are so quick on the trigger playing the race card. I don't think either of our current experienced QB's will be able to take us back to the top, especially if the coaching remains the same.

Jordan Jefferson is a bigger version of Matt Flynn. Same on athletic scale. Decent arms and good wheels. compare the stats. The coaches even believe this.
In fact compare Jefferson's performance in the bowl game against other more celebrated qbs (Snead, Mallet, Keenum, Gabbert, Jacory, Masoli, etc)
Aaron Brooks is more like Jay Cutler/Jeff George. He's never could get away from having to always try to make a play (like Romo did this year).
Jefferson's the starter for the next two years. He's still developing physically and emotionally at 19. He's going to be real good (nationally revered player). Look at what he played with at the Cap 1. Down 16-3 and he puts two drives with big plays together and they had the lead. 1 defensive stop and he's the MVP. He outplayed their MVP all Big Ten QB.

If J.J. throws twice as many interceptions next year and goes to the sidelines and laughs with the other playsers, then I will say he is Aaron Brooks.

So if we were Ole Miss, S. Carolina and Arky fanbase should we root to replace J. Snead, R. Mallet and A. Garcia because they put up the same or shittier stats in near perfect weather conditions. Some of these topics are ridiculous.

Most definitely. No courage in his face, ever.

no its not a fair comparison. Jefferson hasnt even started to reach his full potential. if i was gonna compare him to someone it would be jason cambell when he was at auburn.
i would truly wish this was true, but there are young (rookies) playing pro ball at the age of 22/23 years of age. i thought the same thing in the past about him, but not anymore. this is just my own feelings about him.

Jesus.
AB had a few good years in the NFL and then went to shite.
JJ has had one year as a starter at LSU. He had to work behind the worst LSU OL I've ever seen, under terrible coaching, and against PSU he had a 4th string RB and WRs that couldnt catch the wet ball he had to throw. And his OL managed 40 yds rushing. And you think JJ is the problem with this team?

JJ is part of the problem. The reasons have fairly been outlined, but we can rehash them if you choose. JJ has all the talent you need, but is limiting the offense. He gives you one or two drives a game.
If he can improve on this, awesome. I haven't seen improvement, in fact I have seen him digress since game one, where he did look fairly solid. He limits the offense, there are no other ways to put it out there. He needs to improve, let someone else take over or split time.

Hopefully if the light clicks for JJ, can't wait to see the threads bashing him for not leading his receivers perfectly or not throwing a more catchable ball "whatever that means" as was the rage during JR's 2006 campaign.

Is this a fair comparison? Both great physical tools but never really grasp the position. I hope not but the signs are there
NO WAY! JJ has no help, and no one that can teach him how to win. He is doing this all on his own.
