LSU had old gold and royal purple from 1893 to 1956,
a total of 63 years.
LSU has used the yellow/ darker purple since 1957,
a total of 52 years.
We did not copy Green Bay; it was actually Dietzel who wanted the new unis. They were copied from UCLA.

Our colors were taken from the colors of Mardi Gras. Look at a Mardi Gras flag and compare colors.
