Have three number ones and can't stop the run, but this has been happening all season. We need to draft a run stopping tackle with the first round pick. I know the o line needs work, but we are getting Jammall Brown back, so that should fix itself.

Our offense is the best in the league. When they play like the 20th best in the league that's a killer.

Our defense is the 15th best in the league. They're been holding up their end of the bargain and playing like the 15th best in the league.

Our offense is the problem. It's not fair to yell at the defense for playing at their talent level when the offense is playing way beneath theirs.

15th best? Hahahaha, you mean 24th. Worst than last years. Last years defense had a better ranking.

turnovers and scores make us way better than last year.

we have 2 times as many turnovers this year as last year.

yards are meaningless.

We could sure use Kendrick Clancy and Sed Ellis healty together. The run defense was completely different when those two were together. Plus Jabari Greer is a shutdown corner and Malcolm Jenkins has been a turd.

Yards are meaningless? Ask the Buccaneers if yards are meaningless when one of the worst offenses in the league were rolling the Saints in OT.

jesus christ you people are ruining this board.

yards were completely meaningless yesterday, yes. I said it and I'm sticking to it.

Our defense held them to 13 points in 4+ quarters. That is excellent work in any measurable way. Yards don't mean shite. Only points matter.

If the "best offense in the league" could have managed more than 3 points in 3 quarters against one of the worst defenses in football than we would have won going away.

Our OFFENSE is the problem, NOT our defense. We'd be 15-0 right now if our offense had shown up the past 2 games.

Holding Dallas to 24 points while your offense is going 3 and out every fricking series and your punt team is giving up huge returns is excellent work. Our defense has outplayed our offense from Atlanta on.

"Bad" games by our defense: Washington, Miami, and Atlanta (home)

"Bad games by our offense: (especially when weighted for their talent): Tampa Bay, Dallas, Jets

That puts it even at 3-3 by my count. And just like last year the offense somehow escapes ALL blame and the defense gets crucified by both the fans and the media. It's a real head scratcher.

So, our defense played good against Dallas and Tampa?

Yes. We would be 15-0 if the league's best offense had played anywhere near their potential these last 2 games.

It's even worse when you consider the defense has been without 3 of its top 4 players for much of the last 2 months while the offense has been nicked up but has had the best players healthy.

I've been a Saints fan from day one. I have really, REALLY enjoyed this season. I am still enthusiastic about the chances in post season play. I have and will continue to support the Saints
BUT... when the defense can't stop a 2-win team that is running over the d-line like a cripple dog on the interstate, I'd say we have a problem, Houston.

Draft DT Dan Williams out of Tennessee with the first round pick. Dude is a beast at 6'4", 330 and the perfect complement to go beside Sed Ellis. Williams is a run stuffer who can also get pressure on the QB.

Alejandro your partially right. We didnt give up that many points and the reason we lost was because the offense was bad. But lets not forget the defense gave up a 98 yard drive. Also, gave up a FG right before the half (that shouldnt of happen) And yes they did come up with some crucial turnovers and red zone situation, but cant continue to rely on that. The defense didnt play well, but they didnt lose us the game.

Against Dallas we were put in the hole by the defense...14 - 0. They did play well in the second half but Dallas defense was able to pin their ears back and take some risk and bring a lot of pressure which disrupted the offense.

FWIW, Im shocked how bad the tackling has been because thats no excuse. Missed tackles after missed tackles.

Draft Mount Cody
