UM stepping down and us getting one of their best recruiters does that open the door for us with any of their OL WR DT commits?

I am certainly harboring irrational exuberance regarding our new recruiting coaches poaching the UF territories and grabbing a few

I do not recall any of UF's recruits coming down between UF or LSU, so no I do not believe we will get any. If we do then they are coming to LSU for the wrong reason. I am a firm believer that a recruit should go to a school that they really want to go to more than another. By them going where they really want to go then they are going to give that school their all, that is soul, heart and mind. That was the one thing that I respected about Tebow the most for, he wasn't the greatest QB that UF could have gotten but they could not have a more dedicated QB than Tebow and that is why he was so good. And also, I believe he will make it in the next level provided he lands with the best team that he can learn grow as a Pro QB. Whoever gets him will get someone that will give them his all.

Luc committed to FSU

Doubt UF will lose many recruits because of Urban Meyer. Losing some key assts may be been more damaging. I see UF moving quickly, which was why Meyer timed his announcement to be now IMO. They will find a big name coach who will have no problem keeping commits.

I agree - Urban has promised to stay on till the bowl anyway and it is going to be a smooth transition and Florida (much to my dismay) in the last 20 years has not found it difficult to get players at all.

Caseymc2, I will respectfully disagree with you on that. Teabow won a heisman and won a bunch of other awards he helped them win 2 national championships and every team they played had to defend differently when they played Florida. He was the number 1 qb coming out of high school so I don't think they couldve gotten a better qb. He took that team on his back last year and almost did it this year. I think he was a great example of what a talented and humble athlete looks like. I am not a Florida fan, but I did rwaly enjoy watching him play, except when he played us

Yeah, I have never been an Urban Meyer fan, but feel a bit for him today. Pretty sure he will be back in the game in a few years though.

I agree with you. Its not like Meyer is taking another position. He will be there to see the transition through.

The 2 that Florida will lose for sure aren't coming to LSU.Ronald Powell and Josh Shaw are as good as gone.USC is probably the winner here.Powell for sure.Shaw could look at a number of places but USC is definitely in the driver's seat.Alabama could also win in this with Dunkley.I don't really see anyone of their commits really being pushed by us except for maybe Lynden Trail, who says he's still solid. This may help us more with some guys next year if we try to get some of them.Wilder,Bellamy etc.
