Some thoughts on the game last night

Obviously everyone is disappointed that the Saints lost. That being said, I think there are a lot of observations that tell you there is definitely a silver lining here and that the Saints have a strong chance of making it to the super bowl.
Injuries played a huge roll in the loss:
No Greer
No Shockey
They really limited Bell
No Ellis
Bush left early (and he was having a pretty solid game and is better than most give him credit for in pass protection)
We played poorly overall:
Dallas played an almost perfect game and the Saints coughed up the ball and missed out on some scoring opportunities.
All I'm saying is as great as they played and as poor as the Saints played the Saints still had a chance to tie it up late in the game. Dallas is a playoff caliber team that had their backs against the wall. We almost beat them playing the worst we've played all year and with several key injuries. The Saints will be just fine IMO

I'm still hurt by the fact they lost the game, and I'm not even a Saints fan, man this game hurts the most, I couldn't even watch football for the entire day.

I agree, this game was no different than the past 2 with the exception that the offense couldn't get into the endzone until the 4th quarter. It still sucks to lose to the cowpatties, but the Saints will be fine.

A defense like that will never win a SB, doesn't matter how good your offense is. Might win a playoff game though.

True, maybe the defense will improve.

Dallas won't.

That's ok Dallas has five trophies in their case, while NO is looking at a realistic possibility of winning a playoff game... Congratulations Saints fans.

Cowboys fans are like bama fans. Haven't done shite in the last 15 years and always bring up how good they used to be.

FWIW bama is in the BCS national champsionship game and is going to demolish Texas.
