And even then you have to question how effective he'll be. Smith and Shockey were completely different players last season when they were recovering from Sports Hernias. We definitely can't have any games in the playoffs where the offense doesn't show up till the second half.

Going into last night's game, Greer was still the team leader in passes defended. He has one of the lowest QB ratings against (in the 40's) and had only allowed one td all year (a blatant push off by Roddy White). We've definitely missed him. You can't overestimate the value of a shutdown corner. It was nice to see Porter back out there, but I can't see them going all the way without Greer. Hopefully he'll be close to 100% for the playoffs. The bye definitely helps in that regard.
