My buddy up north has been raving about it. I don't believe we can get it in Louisiana. Guess i will have to make the trip to Texas.

Victory makes some good beers but I haven't tried Golden Monkey. Mainly because Triples are too sweet for me. Are you a Triple fan? If so, there are a lot of good Triples out there so I'm not sure this one rates a road trip.

Had it at a Taco Mac when I was in Atlanta for the SECCG a few years ago. Pretty solid stuff. If you like stouts, give the Victory Storm King a go when you get the chance.

I am a Triple Fan. Actually i am partial to all Belgium wheat and ales. The Cove here has around 80 belgium styles beers so i have been sampling around for my preference. My buddy has just been raving so i was interested.

If you do make a beer run, get some Duchesse De Bourgogne LINK. Its a belgian sour ale....which sounds scary but its not really sour. Reminded me of a Beaujolais nouveau but carbonated. Its a sipping beer but very good.

Golden Monkey is one of the better Tripels brewed here in the US in my opinion.

Overall Victory makes good stuff. Their Prima Pils is one of my favorite summer beers.

Duchesse De Bourgogne is actually available in Louisiana, so that wouldn't be something someone would need to drive to another state to get. It is good, though, so might as well go for it if you're already there.

Love the Monkey! The closest place I get it is Spec's in Beaumont, TX. Spec's in Houston also carries it (most of them anyway)!

I lived about 20 minutes from Downingtown, PA for 7 years and never went to the brewery. Will go next time I am up in PA.

I usually drink one or two at the end of the night...its not something you ice down and drink on all day. The first time I bought a case...I had 4 and don't remember falling asleep on the couch.

YOU MUST RESPECT THE MONKEY!
