First of all, I can think of specific examples of both public and private schools recruiting. I also know of public schools allowing students in special education programs to play football.

Second of all, the LHSAA really needs to take a look at schools that are accredited by LDOE but are only accredited as GED schools. Schools that are accredited as GED schools do not have to follow the same course curriculum requirements as other schools. These GED accredited schools are basically ACT and SAT prep schools. The students that play football at the GED accredited schools can stay in class each day for minimal time and spend most of the day practicing football.

Isn't public school recruiting illegal?
